FYI for those in DC2

Just an FYI to hopefully prevent a flood of "is DC2 down?" threads:

From DC2
Hello everyone. In an effort to better serve our DC2 customers we are installing our own Edge router at DC2. This will enable us to be independent of the AZinternet/Cybertrails routers and then issues they have had in the past. We will be installing our own Edge router on Monday afternoon at 5pm local time (mst). We know its short notice but its the best we can do given the circumstances. During this time we will be installing our router and configuring the network so that Atjeu will be advertising all its own IPs and routes via BGP at DC2, the same way we now do it at DC1. This will provide better stability and reliability and far better control for us over the network at DC2. This is the first step in our improvements at DC2. Next, we plan to add a DS3 connection between DC1 and DC2 so that they share the same network. That way traffic could be shared between the 2 networks and if the current network at DC2 goes down, traffic could just route out the DC1 network and vice versa. This will provide greatly improved uptime, we hope 100% for both data centers, and if you have a server at both data centers, you will have a direct connection between the two data centers. In order to install the connection between the two data centers we first need to become more independent at DC2 by installing our own edge router. This is what the maintenance window is for tomorrow. The window will be from 5pm to 7pm local time. During this time the network WILL go down a few times as we install the router, configure the router and switch over to running BGP at DC2. That does not mean the network will be down for 2 hours. It simply means that there will be a few interruptions that we are guessing will be about 5 minutes or so between 5 and 7 pm local. All of this is in an effort to better serve you and provide a more reliable and unmatched network. We are sorry for the late notice and any inconvenience this may cause but this work will result in great benefit to you, our customer.

Sorry, when I think of the term DC2 I think of of Atjeu automatically. Force of habit.

DC2 was down for scheduled maintenance, the installation of an edge router. It was down for about 30 minutes during this period. We apologize for any inconvenience but the step was necessary.
