SuperMicro 6013A-T

Has anyone used the SuperMicro 6013A-T?

Anyone recommend a good supplier, preferably West US? AcmeMicro seem to offer this server at a good price.

I have purchased from InterPro in the past but they do not currently have this server listed.

Rackmountsetc.com uses supermicro, also you can try ironsystems.com and colomachine.com (colomachine not using the supermicros you want though, but cheap.)

You can actually put the machine together yourself by buying the case and the motherboard separately. You'll save about 30-40% for just doing that.

As I'm in the UK and purchasing in the US that isn't possible. The cost of shipping and taxes would wipe out any savings

You should try to get a tech in the SF Bay area if you're going to be building quite a few machines and need them to be mounted or whatever. those superserver are in the range of 1000 per piece, you'll save 300-400 per machine. it's definately worth to get someone to do it for you. And there is also the OS installation and mounting part for him to do too.

Most places i've checked are charging about $700 for the barebone system. The configuration I require increases that to about $2100 each. I would need the servers configured before being sent out by the supplier, which is why I have used InterPro in the past, they configure it to your specs

I've just been told that Interpro do stock this server

I would recommend Interpromicro too. I haven't used them myself, but I have heard quite some good words about them.

I noticed the Acme 613PM uses a SuperMicro motherboard and chassis, i think identical to the 6013A-T.

I wanted to ask if anyone has used these servers and if there are any differences between the two? The 613PM looks identical but at a lower price!

Hi Mfjp, I did note what you said earlier but I wanted to make sure this was the same server as I wouldn't be putting it together myself. I guess they are, thanks

StoneHalo, it's just the same thing. Supermicro just charges more to have it preassemble for you.
