365 Main
Does anyone know who offers co-lo at the 365 Main St. facility in San Francisco?
I know of pb-solutions.com but they will not do business with a UK based company

Actually, they will not do business with anyone outside the country. I am their customer and resell their services as well. To be honest it is difficult to provide colo to international customers. Overseas equipment mirgation is a problem, support is challenging, liability is also a issue since it would be your property and they would be the ones touching it in your behalf.
..... Dedicated servers are a different story though
I've passed this along to pb-solutions.com. Sorry I can't help you either but they know more colo providers than I do.

All our existing equipment is in Vancouver, Canada. I would be purchasing new equipment from a supplier in Fremont and shipping to a new facility (365 Main is just one of many i'm considering). Once that is installed the equipment in Vancouver will be shipped to the new facility.
I've never had any problems with moving equipment before and don't expect any this time. It would just be a case of plugging it in! Obviously remote hands support is essential.

I've never had a international customer myself so I cannot speak intelligently on this... but what about billing and collection issues? I mean, what if you burst to 100 Mbps and are 3 months behind in payment? How would someone collect from you if you decide not to pay? Certainly not by legal collection actions because you are international and law enforcement agencies would not get involved. What about tax issues?
I'm just asking questions because I really have no idea since I've never experienced doing business with a international customer myself. Maybe pb-solutions got burned before...

I'm not complaining about pb-solutions, I asked for a quote and they refused due to the fact we are not US based, i'm ok with that It's just one off my list. I'd just like to know what other companies offer co-lo in that building so I can contact them for a quote.
I don't know the answers to your questions either. I'm sure all that would be covered in the contracts. All I know is that I own a registered and respectable company and pay all bills on time. If a bill goes unpaid I expect my provider to cut the connection therefore making it impossible to become 3 months behind in payment

There aren't any other companies that offer small-scale colo in that building. However, there are many other facilities in the Bay Area of equal caliber that will accept international colo customers.

I will be requiring a full rack with either a 5mbps or 10mbps (depends on pricing) commitment. I'm not looking for offers from WHT users, just names of suppliers I can contact
I am looking at the San Jose area also but thats for another thread.
