Where is the cheapest colocation in the world?

before posting, the owner must own 1 full rack and get the price out. To be more accurate because some datacenter require you to get a full rack to get a discounts!

What I know in Hong Kong,
They provide "unmetered" transfers (on shared 100mbps international bandwidth...*note, sharing with more than 1x,xxx servers)

    1U colocation $250HKD/month ($38USD/month)
This datacenter is already quite good one already

The worst datacenter which has just closed down...and is belongs to I-Advantage
    1U colocation $56HKD/month ($7.12USD/month)
Includes 100mbits port "unmetered bandwidth" and "256kbits international bandwidth"

    ^^ awesome prices!!

This seems like a foolish thread to me -- the cheapest, without regard for any other criteria will always be "free".

Of course, the adage "you get what you pay for" is usually more than true with bottom-basement services.

Why the cheapest? And co-lo at that! Hope you have disposable servers and an offsite backup solution in place. Cheap co-lo to me means subpar: security, service, support, bandwidth, and facilities.

Hmm, why would you want to send off your hardware, and have someone host them for the cost of a meal at mcdonalds?

I rather pay the extra cash for a peice of mind..

Cheapest colo in the world would be under your bed off a wireless connection you pirated from your neighborhood... Uh, on second thought, in your friends cabinet in exchange for a candy bar.

I'll be the cheapest Co-Lo Provider Ever!!!

I know a guy who has a bunch of old racks, and I can get more for free from Minneapolis... I'll keep them in the back of my office (High security, I got a security camera in there, and the door locks).

Dont worry about power... I'll be N+1 redundant because I have 2 old APC 320 UPS's... I'll plug one into the other, and run everything through those.

Then I can get 1000 customers at $5/1U and let them all have unmetered bandwidth on the 3-Bonded T1's I'll get piped in

    YES!

Hahahaha... I'll be anxious to hear how quickly you say "what a deal" once you're on their network for more than a month.

If the constant DDoS attacks don't drive you nuts, the random network downtimes will. Search this forum for more details.
