Yup just saw it on and had to post it. Cover up your VIN numbers to protect yourself. If they get it they can get a copy of your key and steal your car.

And don't ASK for your car to be stolen...
what I mean is you have a $1000 car with $2000 worth of audio equipment
and $2000 rims on it

okay this is what happends...
1. You get a VIN number
2. Go to a locksmith or a car dealership and get the key made
3. Steal the car

If they want it there gonna take it no matter what. I always recommend getting OnStar i like the feeling of being able to have my truck tracked within minutes if its stolen.
Sometimes if they want to steal your car all they need is one of those EZ Lift wrecker trucks, thats why its always smart to turn your wheels. They showed once on Discovery channel how they repo-ed a car in under 3 min's just by backing up and lifting it and driving off.

I like OnStar also.
Some tips on saving your car....
1. Get a car like mine (a piece of Sh*t)
Even if you leave it unlock no one wants it.... One time I forgot my keys where in the car (in plain site) and I went in a store came out still there.

A couple of months ago, my friend that live next to me lost her keys and couldn't find them. So she went to the local Chrysler/Jeep dealer and had her keys made for her. All they asked her was the VIN number, and *poof* the keys were made. They were prepared to show them the title and everything... but they never asked - didn't even ask for a driver's license.
Really bad when a dealership is that stupid not to ask for a title or something like that.
That's why, you take something like a business card size piece of paper, and put it over your VIN plate... Totally legal... saves you from having someone write down your VIN and go to the local dealership to get a key made.
