Number of saved PMs you can have...
Whenever I get up to about 170 private messages, it cuts me off from receiving any more. I then have to clean house to make room.
But I've read posts from members who say they have 3-400 PMs saved. Does it have to do with the number of PMs , or does it have to do with the overall file size of all the PMs?

I'll have to look back at a few threads. I could've sworn I read a few members posting that they had 300+ PMs saved.

You must have been dreaming  It is 200 all up.  If some said they had more, they may have been talking about another forum, or all PMs at forums combined.

The limit is 200.. And that includes PMs in your sent folder also.. So that is likely why it stoped at 170 for you..

If they have 300+ PMs saved; they have them saved to their hard drive.
