Is it httpme or is it you?
Whats with the httpme datacentre? They say their datacentre is located in Parsippany, N.J however their IP's are owned by an organisation in Texas? A difference of only 1500+ miles?

Multiple datacentres have a tendency to distance themselves...

I split this from a thread that had gone way off topic. Best to start a new thread in cases like that

Edit.
As for the topic, leave Aussie Bob alone no amount of digging is going to find you anything, leave him be, he has a reputable business, i would suggest that you respect that, and stop trying to belittle him and his company

I believe there main website and all support products are hosted at The Planet, but all of there customer servers are at Nac.net. This was the case a few months back anyway.

wouldnt you think the one they advertise would be the one they use for their own server at least?

Not really. Their clients would primarily want to know where they're going to be located. They could run their own service sites inhouse, and still need to put the emphasis on where the production/client servers are.

Why your asking this here instead of directly to HTTPme???
Anyay --- HTTPme recently put their main site in a different NOC than their client servers.
They did this so the site and main support forums, where availble in case of emergency at NAC datacenter.
It's not a uncommon thing to do and is a very good idea.

I remember when people used to say that you couldn't trust a host that wouldn't host their own site in the same DC as their clients. Which is a very ridiculous statement. And due to NAC's issues in Feb/March, it was actually a very good for NAC hosts to have their main server off the network so communication could flow if the network did go down.

It's common practice to host your main site or support forum in a different DC so that when an issue occurs, the site and emails are still accessable so you can effectively communicate with your clients and let them know what is going on.
Why are you trying to discredit them for doing this?

My thinking is it's the same guy (with new ID) that tried to go for Bob's throat with another recent thread
Otherwise if a legit customer question
A) They would've gone directly to HTTPme for answers.
B) Worded the title to be less insinuating.

Maybe the host should live next to the DC as well?
