State Who is better?

Hello

Is it possible to say that datacenter X is better than datacenter Y in your reply to a web hosting request?

Thanks

- Patrick

Yes, of course it is.

You can compare:
- # of Connections
- Redundancy
- Speed
- Security
- Staff

There is alot more ... buf of course one datacenter is better than the other.

So I can state that Hurricane Electric is better than Rackshack? Or do i need to prove this without saying the competitors datacenter name.

Eg: "Compare Hurricane Electric with the other datacenters listed and you will see they are no.1"

I would do your research before stating that.

That is too vague a statement without having some pretty good documentation to back it up.
You are better off stating the possitives of your datacenter and then inviting people to compare.

There is no best for everyone....

As SWR states in his signature, .

There is no 'best' host. There is only the host that's best for you.
So, one must know the requirements of the person asking the question. This includes their potential use of the provider, the configurations they are looking for, and their experience and skills and staffing.

The best datacenter is the one that will survive a 100 megatonn nuclear strike. Let the games begin

I forget who posted it on the ISP Planet mailing lists, but it was something to the effect of a datacenter build to sustain an XX megatonn nuclear blast...

"It's nice to know that if the earth experiences a nuclear holocaust, at least cockroaches will still be able to get their pr0n."
