Hi Everyone

I'm trying to turn on safe mode per apache virtual host on my Redhat 7.3 server.

I've tried putting "php_admin_value safe_mode on" in a virtual host, but it has no effect.

Am I going about it the right way? Just to confirm, I do not want to turn on safe mode for the whole server.

Try php_admin_flag safe_mode Off and dont forget to restart apache. Also be aware that if a subdomain requires safe mode off, you will need to find the virtualhost entry for the subdomain and add the php_admin_flag safe_mode Off.

I did try that 3spades and it worked.

The only problem then is that I have a number of php shell scripts which run from cron overnight which need to do things like set_time_limit() which will not run if safe mode is turned on globally.

I haven't been able to find a way of turning off safe mode for php scripts *not* run by apache.
