Gunman takes thousands from church in Baltimore

With a robber holding a pistol to a church secretary's head, a Northeast Baltimore priest was forced to open a rectory safe yesterday and hand over thousands of dollars from Sunday collection baskets, the pastor said.

Tax-free money!! Hey, if those money help poor robbers, shouldn't the Church be happy for them that they've actually helped someone for real?

Finally the Church gives something back... Well, it weren't their money in the first place.

Heh I thought that a gunman took thousands of people from church when I read the title and wondered why they didn't disarm him as there were so many

But yes, a very sick act indeed, although churches are often targetted for their takings

That is exactly what I thought also.

Why do I have a feeling the robber isn't a strong believer in God?

This is just sad... I wonder what's next... "Gunman shoves his gun up his @$$ realizing that he shouldn't have robbed the bank" would sure make me a happy camper...

Unless you've spent a few billion dollars in the last year helping people, like the church, then maybe you should post your address in case someone that thinks like you may want to hold a gun to your head and relieve you of any funds they deem appropriate.

Yeesh, I can't believe hosts post comments like that with their frigging business name in their signature.

MDJ2000, I was thinking the same thing. I looked at his signature and made a mental note - there are 4 sites I never need to visit. If that is the level of intelligence he shows here, would hate to see him moderating a forum.

Robbing churches is not new. Tammy Faye and Jim Baker did it for years

Ya, but they didn't need a gun. And they walked away with a LOT more.
