Hits vs Visits

I've a website and I think it's time to look for (small) sponsors within 2 or 3 weeks.

My website has a average 80.000 hits a month but only around 2.200 uniqe visit(er)s a month.

A. My guestions is, wat do you think is more important? Hits or Visits?

--

End of this month (based on the first 2 weeks) I will have around 130.000 hits and around 3.500 visits.

B. Should I go with the average results or those of this month?

obviously unique visitors are more important than "hits", as hits mean if you have say 10 images on one page they are counted as "hits" every time you load that page that means you will be getting alot of hits to only the one unique visitor.

you should go on the results of the last previous full month and maybe a a month or 2 before that, so the prospective advertiser would be able to see an increase/decrease in traffic potential your site has had.

Donnie,

The unique visitors are more important than hits.

Also something which would impress your potential sponsor would be the avg time your visitor stays on your website etc.

Hi,

You could try estats4all.com they're pretty good. They show the hits and refferers, etc.
