Does anyone have an idea how to (legally) find out which bank 2checkout.com uses to process their transactions? Asking them didn't work.

Well.. If you have them deposit funds into your bank account.. I'm sure you could call your bank and ask them the bank name transfering funds into your accounts...

If you get checks.. Just take the routing number and call your bank.. They can look up who it belongs too

It says right on the check which bank issued it.
US Bank.
...but that isn't the question being asked.

If US bank is the bank on the checks than it would stand to reason that US Bank is their processor now wouldn't it? or maybe not.

Not necessarily. I have no idea who they actually use, but many companies have the accounts they pay out of seperate from the accounts where the money comes in.

I have had few problems with 2Checkout myself. I'm doing research for a client.
Incidentally, they use U.S. Bank for their settlement payments. No idea yet if they use them for their merchant account or now, but it's a good chance they do.

Don't quit your day job, detective work doesn't seem to be your forte with leaps/ assumptions like this.
Who we use as a Gateway is really immaterial. Tomorrow it could be a different gateway, next week it could be another. We have never used just 1 Gateway.
We also reserve the right to change "settlement banks" as we have done in the past.
We are in a business where features and fees are very important.
Hope that makes it clear as mud.
