Question...

On my computer I have about 6-7 GB of music and other files and am planning on reformatting my HD very soon (don't worry most of it is legal).

Is there anyway besides winzip I can compress these files so I don't have to make 9 or 10 CDs?

From my knowledge mp3 files (if thats what you have) dont compress into a zip file very well.

I would just copy the mp3 in alphabetical order. If you use winzip and one part on one of the CD's is damaged there might be a chance that you will lose all the data

MP3's are already compressed data. So Zipping them would only save maybe 100 megabytes. Do you maybe have a 2nd computer that you could take the hard drive out of and then copy the Mp3's over to?

I bought a second harddrive to back up all my works. That's the ONLY reason why I have that drive. Wouldn't that be a waste of money? Yah, kinda, but it sure works whenever I need it ^_^
