Ventures Online is establishing a new Support Office in Englewood, Colorado to help provide better support and faster responses for our customers.
We are currently seeking team oriented, self-motivated people for the following position.
Position: Web hosting Technician (2 openings)
Proactive monitoring of the availability and uptime of our networks/servers.
Provide e-mail, help desk and phone support to current and potential customers. Handle server reboots and standard system work should a problem arise with one of the servers.
Utilize our Help desk to respond and track support issues.
Keep users informed as to the status of open problems/service requests.
Provide support for Linux systems using Plesk, Cpanel or Webmin interfaces to the system as well as support for raw system programs such as Exim, Apache, Proftpd, Bind and other programs found in the Linux environment.
Be responsible for constructing or setting up new customer servers as work orders arrive for them.
Must have a form of transportation
Must be willing to learn and self motivated
Minimum one year experience in customer service or help desk functions
IT development, administrative or operational experience a plus
Good communication skills are a must
Strong interpersonal and organization skills
Good troubleshooting/Analytical Skills
Knowledge of the Linux environment and trouble shooting server issues.
Standard PC Bench knowledge in constructing servers and installing
RedHat Linux (required)
Previous ISP or Web Hosting experience a strong plus
A+, N+, MCSE, or Linux Certifications a strong plus
