can someone please help me and tell me which is the fastest.

10/100Mbps Network Card
10/100MBPS SWITCHED VLAN
5Mbit/s

this will be a daft question to some people but as i am new i need to know thxs.

You really cannot say what is faster since its comparing apples to oranges. The network card will only run as fast as the hub/switch it connectes to. The switch will only go as fast as the router to the net but it can do 10Mbps or 100Mbps internally depending on what the nics support.

thxs m8 the reason i asked this question is when ihave been looking for a server on this forum it seems that companies are charging far more for 5Mbit/s

because thats 5mbps/sec to the internet with those nics you wont be getting 10mbps paid, maybe burstable but not a full dedicated 10mbps to yourself.

Just how ever many GB/month they offer you

Umm, well you need a nic to connect to the switch then you need a router to connect the switch to the net. So I would say all 3.
