Question

Processors..

If you use a 3rd party cc processor, please name the following.

- The name of it
- The url of it
- How long you've been with it
- Pros/Cons regarding it

I would like for people that are willing to give me feedback to please do so and please hold all replies regarding criticism to yourself.

Paymate
http://www.paymate.com.au
2/3 months
Haven't began using it though a friend of mine does. He said he hasn't had any problems with it so far. This is free although they take a transaction fee.

Paysystems
http://www.paysystems.com
Haven't used it
Has a solid reputation and is considered one of the best third party credit card processor's around.

2Checkout
http://www.2checkout.com
Haven't used it
Not too sure if they're still as good as they used to be as i've come accross many threads regarding 2Checkout problems.

I hope that helped

Regards

We use 2checkout.com as a backup processor in case the Authorize.net gateway is having trouble.

We've had it as a backup for a good five months now, haven't really had any problems with it (I know they had a ddos attack not too long ago which caused processing problems with their users).

As with any 3rd party processor, the con is always how much you are charged per transaction as compared to your own merchant account.

We used www.PaySystems.com for a while and for the most part it worked well for a third party processor. If you are planning to charge more than $1,000/mo, it's worth it to get a real merchant account that uses Authorize.net.

Paysystems here (and because I like beating dead horses, www.paysystems.com )

Been with them about 6 months. They're okay I suppose, as long as you don't need support. If you ever need them, don't expect a reply unless you contact them at least 4 or 5 times regarding an issue. Also, don't expect their anti-fraud checks to do you any good; always manually review the transactions!

If I could justify the monthly fees for switching to a full merchant account, I would go for it. Just not making enough money yet.
