Question

New Marketing Ideas, Anyone?

Just wondering here. We're doing Google, Overture, various other PPC channels, an affiliate program, advertising on some 'top host list' sort of sites, but we're looking for new marketing channels.

Any ideas?

Hello Jack, long time no see. You failed to mention your marketing venture with Featureprice.

Hi Laurence. It looks like things are going very well for you and I'm happy for you.

We didn't really have any marketing venture with Featureprice specifically. We did lots of PPC marketing going after the customers who were being dumped on the market and they signed up briefly as an affiliate, but then backed out.

How's Australia? I can't remember, did you end up in Sydney? I'm jealous. Both Sydney and Melbourne are among the most beautiful cities in the world.

I think the only marketing option I haven't seen listed is skywriting. Kind of ephemeral, but oh so glorious.

Telemarketing is about to be very difficult in the US. There's a 'do no call' list that probably goes in effect in October. It's hung up in the courts, but over 50 million people have already signed up for it, and it's going to happen.

I don't think telemarketing is right for us.

We just tried a TV campaign and it wasn't a raging success.

Other ideas?

Thanks for reminding me. I just added 2 KS and 1 MO number to that list as well as the state list. I think I get 5x as many telemarketer calls than all the other calls I get in a month total. I'll be glad to get that number reduced.

Local cable TV - TV Guide channel -
Time slots: 6:56pm - 7:26pm - 7:56pm - 8:26pm 8:56pm

The above time slots are the most popular times for people "wanting to know what's next"

The TV guide channel is a low cost, very effective way of bringing in local business.
