Hello,

I am interested in running a weblogging content management system called Movable Type (http://www.movabletype.org/). This system has the following requirements:

* The ability to run custom CGI scripts
* Perl, version 5.004_04 or greater
* MySQL & the DBD::mysql module

I'm looking to find a very inexpensive, yet reliable and fast web host, preferably Canadian, that has been around for a while so I can trust them.

suport is great, servers are fast, and stable, they have been in business for a while now, i highly recommend them.

And they are British... And I think canada is owned by the british so it works out.

DBD::MySQL is most likely (99% sure) installed on UH or any other host for that matter. It is a popular perl module.

Anyway, back to the topic, there is many great Canadian web hosts out there that offer those services, just post a request in the request forum, and state that it must be a canadian based company, with your specs.

I'm sure you'll get a flood of replies, as it seems everyone that posts there, gets 10+ replies, no matter what the request was/is.

Movable Type requires that Image Magick be installed on the Server so make sure to ask about that.

A reliable Canadian host come to mind is www.idologic.com.
They do multi-domain hosting, I am not sure if they do single domain hosting.
