Hi,

Recently we are getting the error message :

"The application failed to initialize properly (0xc000142). Click OK to terminate the application."

on our Windows 2000 server.This happen when we try to execute any mmc application on the server.Is this a hardware issue?

We just take the box offline and perform a full system scandisc and fixed most of the file system errors.


Any ideas ?

scandisk can sometimes corrupt some of your files. It is likely that one of the dll required by the application is corrupted, or lost during the scandisk. As such, the program can't run. Try reinstalling it.
