pmfirewall vs portsentry

Hi folks, I'm in the process of hardeing a new raq4 and reading up on firewalls etc.

Regarding port blocking there seems to be two methods of doing this; either a firewall like pmfirewall (pm) or something like portsentry (ps).

Having read post on this site and others ps looks like the prefered method, uk2raq doesn't mention pm. However some posts say having both is pointless.

I'd prefer to use pm as it doesn't permantly deny hosts.

Any thoughts or corrections welcome.

Thanks, Rob.
