jon,
with frontpage it would be very easy to change the format, its kind of drag and drop.
Just make sure your webhost provide FP extension support

humm.. I may be wrong, but aren't most template monster templates done in and given to you in .psd files? I thoughts they were all photoshop files that had been sliced and stuff.
i might be wrong, I just know I played with one at some point for the purpose of learning slicing and how it all worked, not the easiest thing in the world, nor was it that difficult to figure out.
But you might want to make sure your going to be able to edit the file using frontpage, or if you will need Photoshop as well.

I have never worked with TM templates... But from I've seen, they are sliced PSD (photoshop) images, exported as GIFs, that are "glued" together again with HTML, likely also produced by Photoshop.
I have worked with sliced PSPs (Paint Shop Pro), and the resulting HTML is rather convoluted, and terribly inefficient. I wound up gutting the HTML, and rewriting it using jEdit (a nonWYSIWYG programmer's editor).
Personally, I would not try to use FrontPage for this task... But then, I'm not a big fan of FrontPage to start with... Dreamweaver is probably a much better all-round choice.

I dont have frontpage, I dont have dreamweaver, I only have notepad.
All I want to do is edit the content in it thats all, but how hard would it be to just use notepad? I cant use dreamweaver or frontpage since it costs money, and I just fixxed my car so I have no money.

I know that problem! I need to go pick mine up as I type this... $250! Ouch!!
Check out jEdit! Its an Open Source (Free!) editor... Lottsa plug-ins to do neat stuff! Including a built-in FTP Manager, for editing directly on a remote server if so desired. Definitley a step above using Notepad...

JonB Macromedia provides you with a full featured trial version of all its programs which you can use for 30 days. Unless you are really good with html, you will find it hard coding your site with notepad. JEdit sounds interesting as I have never used it. Am gonna check it out myself.

be warned that template monster is developing a reputation in some communities for selling stolen designs.
several threads on ultrashock deal with rips by a character named leonardo, who sells to tm.

What you need is a clean xHTML + CSS
I can do it for you, for some cash, in a couple of hours.

Ok, I've been in the web design business for only a year (prior to that I actually owned/operated a live radio site, b4 the RIAA discoaraged it!!!)
My experience w/ templates is they BAD news... many of my clients have purchased templates in the past, only to get charged w/ stealing designs from other sites (when its really that 2 or 3 ppl can have the same template, thus it appears that's what happened).
If templates is your ONLY option, pay the extra 500 bucks so that your teh only one who owns it!!!
