Colocation Provider In Orange County .. Maybe LA, California

Hi,
I am looking for a datacenter to provide colo in Orange County California. I have gotten pricing from XO in Irvine which seemed fairly reasonable and would be convenient, however i have seem some people talking poorly of them on this board. Can someone explain why they are not good?

Also please give me some recommendations of good providers in this area.

Thanks.

XO in Irvine got screw because of the TTLHost incident. Search for TTLhost and see for yourself.

kekona, how much are you looking to colo space wise? I would recommend being in LA rather than in Orange County for price and bandwidth reasons. Do you need bandwidth as well?

Give us some details

I'm guessing you aren't a customer of Calpop's.? I've heard so many horror stories from calpop, it's not not funny, almost reminds m eof another host that starts with a C...

Oh .. do not use calpop. I've been to their facility on wilshire and it was a joke. I don't know they're new facility in downtown but the one I went to was in a small office and the dataroom was only about the size of my bedroom with router on the floor and two rows of racks with about 6 racks in each row.

Also .. they don't have anyone there when I went there in the afternoon.

* DANGER! WIL ROBINSON, DANGER!

I'll third that.

AVOID Calpop at all costs.

Do a search on the dedicated server forum for calpop.

To sum up, this is one of the most clueless providers on the planet and the owner lies more than a California Recall Candidate.

Seriously, the few bucks you'll save are not worth the headaches. There is a difference between being frugal and just being plain cheap.
