Anyone use wire fund for there business?

If you do use a wire fund which one do you use? Is WU the only one to be trusted?

We've used qChex for a lot of processing. You have to print the check, and they charge you .25 per transaction [oh no! not 25 cents!].

If you are located in Canada, www.certapay.com is really good.

Just my opinion!

Are you talking about wire transfers or check processing?

If you are asking whether we accept wire transfer payments from our customers - we do that only for our international clients that do not have a credit card or convenient means by which to send us a check.

Be aware that wire transfers can be pricey. My bank charges $10 per incoming transfer.

Yes, they are. We pass this additional cost to the customer and inform them in advance of it.

Most of the time, on the few wire transfers that are done each year with us, it is for a few hundred dollars each and they don't seem to mind.

International wire transfers - we send out occasionally, but not that often due to the AU$25 fee our bank charges. We accept them from clients who want to pay that way (and cover the fees), but only for quarterly or yearly payments.

Domestic - we do a lot of EFT transfers. Very similar to wire transfer, the money is transferred between bank accounts at different banks (or the same bank). It's usually instant (or close to) for the same bank, or overnight for different banks. 90% of our domestic clients pay this way.

We have a business cheque book of course, but most of the time it sits in the drawer. We probably write 1-2 cheques a month.

There is a Western Union agent about 2 minutes walk from here. We've never used Western Union, but we can accept WU payments if necessary.
