Recommended logo designers?
We recently spent $300 with a company who had an excellent portfolio and they have presented us with a set of drafts that looks like they were done by a 3 year old.
2 of the logos even have ripped off images from other hosting sites. So now we have asked for a refund or will chargeback.
Where do you recommend we can get a good logo for around $300? Need someone with a promising portfolio and reliability in creating something professional.

Matt,
Would be happy to work for you again. Was there a problem with the logo I did previously, or are you redesigning the whole site, etc?

Try the logo design services from template monster. I have nothing bad from them (design or service wise so far). The portfolio they have online is quite good.

I'd like to recommend Wendy from Shades of White for your logo work... She is not a member of WHT (probably does not even know of its existence), but she does great work! (IMHO)
She is a Graphic Artist primarily (not a geek trying to pick up a few bucks on the side), with over 18 years experience... Very reasonable rates!
Here's a link to her Logo Portfolio

The last logo was great - especially for the price.
We have gone through a namechange (not unitedhosting) and need a logo which will work for two brands, aswell as a version which is good enough for magazine print advertising (300dpi).
Decided its time to spend out on a decent logo which will last.

hey UH-Matt,
We just had our website designed by a company called ECreativeGroup. I would highly recommend them, and they do have an excellent portfolio.
Their website is http://www.ecreativegroup.com/
Feel free to take a look at their work, by looking at our site:

They've recently redesigned and modified the logo a little, trust me it was identical to the old one.

In the matter of 2 hours?
In any case, we need to try and keep this on topic.
