vbulletin problem with plesk

I can't get my avatar to work with plesk mandling everything. On my other server without plesk it works fine.

It just won't be able to upload the attachment or images to my designated folder in my server.

Now this is the solution vBulletin support told me to follow

Quote:
PLESK will put a PHP directive of open_basedir into your httpsd.conf file.

You will need to remove that directive for every domain on your server before file uploading will work through PHP

Just edit it out of the httpsd.conf file in:
/usr/local/plesk/apache/conf

and restart apache
/usr/local/plesk/apache/bin/httpsdctl restart
(Read this thread for more details)

Do you recommend this? if not what should I do?

you can edit it out in the httpsd.conf file just make sure to back it up or if you forgot to back it up then plesk should have something like httpsd.conf.bak right next to it , in case you'll mess up your configuration.

Will this solve the open_basedir restriction problem in PSA server?
