those flash tutorials

i know several people make these, so instead of finding out each person and visiting their site and emailing them...

I would like to speak to each one personally as I have found out how people could steal the tutorial without your notice and not pay for it and still use the entire tutorial.

if you make them and would like to know how they are doing it, please pm me.

I would just like to inform the makers so they are not ripped off

Well... demodemo.com has "demos" online, but those are branded with the sample company's name and logo. I have yet to see a good way to rip a swf file and edit it in flash..

Well I think it is possible to crack a .swf if the data you're removing is at the beginning and end.

But if someone is going to do it, you aren't going to stop it heh. Just like downloading mp3's.

you can, best bet for everyone making them, dont host the FULL LENGTH DEMO on your site. make it only 1/3rd length so what they steal is worthless... also, dont offer the full set on the site either.. but one or two demos.

If a host steals demos, chances are they steal other things and probably don't provide the type of service most people are looking for.

We put all our demos up. If someone takes em oh well.

We've not put ours up as yet, just been providing the link to the page in welcome emails, but i think i will add them to the site.

Same thoughts as you, if somebody want's to be so pathetic as to steal them, doesn't bother me too much, but i can see how it must be really annoying for people like vito and the others who spend the time creating them.

We put all of ours up... steal em.... and I'll send out the dogs

Seriously though, they have our logo (or the client's logo) right in the movie. Hard to take out i'd say.

I've made many custom flash demos for different sorts of people and as a flash monkey, would quite enjoy seeing someone rip mine. That is to say, go ahead and take the time to remove both the branded images, audio references and custom aspects of the client's name/site/trademark.

That aside, it just takes a little thoguht and some actionscript to stop the outside from ripping your work..lol..but this isn't a site for flash is it?
