New Transit

If you could add one or two transit providers to a network, excluding Verio and Global Crossing who would you add?

I know Level3 will be a given, so don't include them....and keep it tier1 (no internap, he.net)

Just kinda interested in seeing what everyone prefers, I know this is done a million times, but I want to exclude the big 3 (verio, level3, gblx)

1. C&W
2. Qwest
3. XO

I know, you only asked for one, but I chose to say 3.

Well..

The problem with C&W is they are looking to sell right now, and most likely will. We already have Global Crossing.

AboveNet was great, MFN I don't like.

[sarcasm] MFN is chaning its name back to Abovenet (part of the re-organisation), maybe you will like it then. [/sarcasm]

Qwest or MFN. mfn is on the budget side of stuff.

Maybe you should just bite the bills and take on L3. I'm seeing L3 transit gets the higher paying customers.

Level3 is also being quite competertive, Ive seen some very nice quotes in the ~$70 range for 100mbit CDR compared to ~$50 for GC, XO and MFN.

If you had to choose over Level3 or Verio, which would you pick?

This might be weird reasoning, and even a little off, but: I would choose Level3. I'm not aware that they are, but if they are, I would consider Verio more of a competitor (in the internet presence providing side of business, as compared to just being an ISP).
