Chicago Dedicated Servers/Colo - Quality Bandwidth!!! POLE
I was just wondering what people thing of colo and dedicated servers in say Equinix in Chicago and bandwidth at $25-$40/mbit depending on the commit being 1-50mbit or so in the $40 range and so on with 90mbit being the line for $25/mbit? Whats your thoughts? Would you want Lease to Own Dell servers with it for say $50-$60/month extra?

Are you planning to offer something like it? I would be very interested in it. I am looking for a sensible colo offering in Chicago equinix. So haven't found any.

If there is enough interest yes we will be offering it at the $25-$40/mbit range at Equinix in Chicago. We are also in talks to bring in Peer1 at the same range hopefully to Equinix and have 2 tier-2 carriers that have over 700 peers combined...

I would be very interested as I was planning on colo in Equinix one of these days (I'm about 4 minutes from the DC). And lease-to-own Dell servers?! I'd be so on that too.

Who is the other tier2 provider? You would have to buy at a very large commit to get a price lower than $40/mbit from Peer1 alone.
How would you possibly offer your customers a price lower than your cost?

Yep. $45/mbit @ 100mbit commit. (maybe $40?)

Nope. HE is running special for $2500 on 100mbps FE, gige delivery is at $45.

We are actually in negotiations with Peer1 and are working to get a good price within Chicago Equinix. We have also thought about getting nLayer as its realatively good bandwidth for a fairly cheap price.

Pricing is out in the Specials for Dedicated Servers forum for Fremont and they will be around same offering for chicago
