    HTML emails with WAP

    Greetings,
With the use of the right cell phone folks can check their email. My problem... If I am running exim as the server and someone is using html formatted email will this work on some phones? Would the standard squirrelmail work to check mail this way?
Anybody using any of this technology for emails?
    Thanks,
    Ed

If emails are formatted correctly to RFC MIME guidelines (e.g. not spam) then all HTML emails also have a plain text part which is the text of the HTML but without the HTML markup.

This means that a wap mail package can access the plain text version of the email instead of the HTML version and thus it will work properly over the WAP gateway.

I've done a lot of work in this area. If you want to chat more about it, PM me.
