    dreamweaver mystery

Quick question . . . lately, in dreamweaver, when we embed an image, the image automatically attaches itself to the base directory on our hardrive (Cesktop/Website/sampleimage.gif), rather than simply imbedding as /sampleimage.gif. Obviously, as a result, the images often don't display. Is there a way (without having to go into code view and edit the HTML each time) that we can avoid this? Has anyone else had problems with this?

You need to "create a site" first and copy whatever images you are using into that directory. The reason you are getting this error, is because the image isn't in the directory (or sub-dir) that your site is designated.

Please feel free to contact me directly if you need any more help with this.

    Thanks.
