An idea I have...

Well, thinking of all the things I should make my homepage, I considered WHT, my site, and a few other sites...and then I thought about just setting it as about:blank...so I set it at about:blank for a few weeks. Then it got boring, so I came up with a pretty good idea! Just make my own page in Photoshop, code it, and add the links I always visit...so here's what I came up with, a clean, very simple layout, with my favorite links!

http://impactanime.com/homepage/hplay.html

I've zipped it up so you can customize the links and use it yourself! . The link to download it is - http://impactanime.com/hplayout/hplayout.rar

Anyways, I know I'm not the original idea creator, but I just thought it'd be nice to share with you guys!

So just post and let me know what you think .

When I'm not on, others get on this computer, and well, they visit AOL for their email .

Anyways, sounds good JM .

PS - This must've been a horrible idea, since only 2 replied...LOL .

I had actually tried to do something like this, but to use as an active desktop in windoze. Didn't work out very well, and I didn't really care too much about it so I gave up pretty fast.

google is mine. Simple, fast loading, never down, and the gateway to so much.

I've got about:blank now. There is a site that lets you make customized home pages, http://www.myway.com/index1.html

I use php bookmarks .

I have customized the version I use, though, to display several categories/row.

I am extremely happy with it.

Something like this would be next to impossible to automate. If you are a programmer, you could probably use IMAP to decipher forwarded messages, determine if the content if SPAM [based on pre-defined filters], and do all of the lookups/notifications necessary for the company to identify that SPAM is indeed originating within their network.

Actually, you could automate most of it, but would need to provide personal access to allow people that have a "gripe" with the service to contact you in the event they have a problem.

Additionally, you could also set criterion for being delisted ... such as, after X amount of reports within X months, you have to respond within 48 hours or you will be blacklisted, etc.

If you know how to write code, you could automate most of this process.

..... I think wayyyyyyy too much, especially for a Saturday night at 22:06.

EDIT: I need a life.

What the heck does that have to do with a homepage?
