Yes, I have used it as well as deployed it out for a client.

There are some issues with it that from my understadning will get resolved in the next release.

It uses the Xmail server found at www.xmail.org and there were some issues that needed tweaking in the registry to be fixed. The mail accounts were not being created by NX.

The user interface is straight forward and easy for an average client to understand. Some of the more powerful features that some of the other vendors have are not there. Then again you are talking about a control panel for a windows box.

This is the response I got regarding Win2k3 the other day:
Quote:
1. Is Win2k3 support in addition to Win2k?
Currently we do not support w2k3, however I am told that some users have gotten it to work on some systems, although in our test it looks like Microsoft reworked the DNS structure so that nxpanel does not work correctly.

I can make up a demo account for anyone who would like to try it out just email the tech support and we can get one setup.

I have to give J credit. I needed help for this one client and J was on vaction. He logged into the box and fixed the registry problem while on vaction.

I look forward to looking for advancements in the future.

Could you setup a 'locked down' version of one accessible through your website? This would give people access to see some of the features without changing your settings (locked name/password if nothing else).

question..

NXPanel seems to be the only -good- control panel for windows at this point that is free, so here's my question..

the most important feature for me is being able to set the allotted monthly bandwidth for subdomains/domains. Can NXPanel do this currently?

NXPanel measures bandwidth using the analog stats program, however it does not do rate limiting or shutdown an account when the alloted bandwidth is reached, it would not be to hard to add into the controlpanel a feature that adjusts the IIS settings for throttling on the website, however its been my experience that this feature in IIS is not that reliable.

To answer the other question about mail, NXPanel uses its own internal command set when dealing with mail if someone wants to build a driver for their favorite mail program it would be very easy to do.

If you like I would be interested in finding out why it did not install correctly and get your system up and running.

Well, the system it's on has a hardware firewall which monitors incoming/outgoing traffic so if it has to download anything apon install then it most likely won't work.

when it installs a bunch of spam goes through the command prompt which looks sort of like script errors and then when it opens the browser at the end it says "The page cannot be found"

if you have AIM or ICQ it'd be easier to work it out. only thing i really wish it had was monthly bandwidth limiting.
