Which is a cheap/effective website traffic monitor?

For site traffic, you just need access to your site's log files and a standard log analizer like analog, webalizer, awstats or others. Most hosts or control panels will have one or more installed already.

If you're talking about real time stats, you'll need access to a SNMP device on your network (your server's network card or host's router) to get the raw data and something like MRTG to display it.

i think analog/webalizer/awstats are included in most hosting plans.

Awstats, which seems to be the best of the three above, is almost impossible to install. Are there others? What are you using?
