Help to set up server!
Hi! I have ordered a win2k3 std with Ensim Pro from servermatrix a couple of days ago but I'm having some problems to setup the DNS and get the mail to work!
Ok, I could study some articles and maybe fix it myself (totally newbie on windows hosting) but the problem is that I have to work 150% at another company so I have no sparetime to do this!
So now I'm wondering if some kind people could help me to configure the server and get it online! Need to have it up couse it just stand at servermatrix and costs me money!
I don't mind pay some to get it fixed! Guess it just going to take a couple of minutes for someone with experience!
Pls send me a PM or add me at ICQ: 23248223
Best Regards
Niclas

Hi,
We could fix it for let's say US$20 and we would do it in about 1 hour. We have very well trained W2K/NT/2K3 sysadmins that would handle the work and we would send you our Privacy Statement, so you can be sure that everything would be done with the highest ethics.
If you are interested please PM me or send an email.

Niclas,
First off, you could use Servermatrix own DNS server and switch off the one you have on your server. This will reduce the load on your server. That works for me.
As for Email, the Ensim Pro does not come with any mail server installed. You could download MailEnable Standard (free) and use the Ensim Integration routine to have it work with it. If you need web mail and other facilities, then opt for MailEnable Pro.

Edwin,
I just answered to his post, I didn't advertise any of our services (we are not an "express-webserver-config-fixer" company. Our main business (as with most of the members of this forum) is webhosting, however I didn't offered him to switch to US as his provider nor offered any software that could fix it.
He asked if someone could do it because he didn't had the time/knowledge to do so. I told him that we would.
If that's considered advertising then excuse me, but as I see it it wasn't.

Well, since it is moved, it is okay to advertise to your heart content.

I guess that it was the thread that was misplaced (it's on the right forum now) and not my reply.
The original topic along with the first message was by itself a request, so what kind of replies would you expect?

Well, under the board laws, it would be no reply which would infer business to you.
You could provide suggestions on how to do things but not to offer your services until it is move to the right forum.
