SSL and Cpanel Cloud Account Needed
Hello,
I was looking for a good cloud website hosting server with cpanel and ssl included and think I found one, however I was wondering if anyone had used them before?
They offer free cloud website hosting for one month with SSL and cPanel all included and then just £2.97 monthly after the trial.
Can anyone tell me if there are any other companies they have found that offer a similar deal and can recommend however feel I have nothing to lose by giving U2Clouds.com a go?
I’m new to this forum so thought I give it a go also?
Thanks
Sarah

At this price it's probably not a cloud server but shared hosting on a cloud server. SSL is always included for free now.

You are not going to find "true" cloud for that cheap, everyone's understanding of cloud is different, same way everyone's definition of "cheap" is different. They may just be using CloudLinux and selling it as a "cloud" solution.

You will really want to take a look at their terms of service before ordering. At the price listed you should be fine if it is a low traffic, generic website, anything else and you might run into some unexpected changes that you agreed to when ordering services from them.

A TRUE cloud setup is around £10/month. I suggest you do more research.

The more important question might be, why are you looking for a cloud?
Cloud is suitable for high availability and scalable hosting where you might need to increase/decrease your resources on demand and serve contents from different geographical locations. Other than that, a decent shared hosting can accommodate most (if not all) of the requirements of a website.█||||[ MechanicWeb.com - Shared Hosting | Reseller Hosting | KVM VPS | Dedicated Server ]

Hi there Sarah, I Can not really say much about U2Clouds.com however I will say I personally would not trust them as a basic search does not show much one of the first places to look for good offers is our shared hosting offers thread https://www.webhostingtalk.com/forumdisplay.php?f=4 2nd you do not really need cloud at this stage I agree with others in this thread about that and proper research will only help you and save you headaches in the end

Well, I think others advice here covers your query well, except for a provider recommendation. At that price, there won't be any true cloud providers. What you have to lose is time if their hosting doesn't match your requirements, and that's more valuable than any cheap trial.

All Cpanel hosts will be jacking up their prices in a few months once the Cpanel price increase comes in.

No DCs are getting discounts.
Apart from the partner pricing that is already listed.
I've spoken to DC owners that thought due to volumes that they might be able to keep existing prices for a while.
That hasn't happened.
We have an investment firm that wants a return on its investments.
They will get that within the next 12 months with these new prices.CPK Web Services

That sounds like an overly generalized statement. Why £10/month and not £9.50/month or £11/month? Is it because your own offering starts at £10/month?
What constitute a "TRUE cloud setup" anyway? There's no fixed definitely for "cloud" as far as I know, which is why many companies are rebranding their VPS to "cloud" without explaining the underlying technologies clearly.[ James Lee - Cloud & Web Hosting Specialist • 10+ Years WHT Veteran]
