Need cpanel shared hosting that can run phpmyadmin well
I need to do a lot of mysql creating, editing and testing on phpmyadmin so it must run fast.
What criteria should I look for in the offers section?
Better if you can actually recommend me the hosts.
Storage, bandwidth etc. doesn't matter, only a fast running phpmyadmin matter.

Any host would be fine if you are just looking for something that supports PHPMYADMIN, however if you are looking for just database and no actual hosting side then you might be better off getting a VPS and installing MYSQL & PHPMYADMIN on it to operate.

I'm not looking for something that supports phpmyadmin, I'm looking for something that can run it fast.
I'm already with one of the "any host" and it runs like a snail, everything else runs fine.
I have a vps but I don't want to waste time installing and maintaining a server.

Well... not really to throw a wrench into this thread... but it sounds like you are doing heavy database usage. There may be better ways to interface with the database rather than through phpMyAdmin.
I don't know if phpMyAdmin is really written to be fast. It's more written to present an easy to use interface for non-technical users.
Maybe I'm wrong... but I don't think I know of too many people that utilize phpMyAdmin heavily to manage a database. They may use phpMyAdmin to make changes to a database one in a blue moon. Or they may be interfacing directly to the database either with a custom PHP script or using a local or remote database client.

Very small in size and with very little tables but there will be a lot of creating, editing and deleting since I'm using it for learning purpose only.
With the current host, running phpmyadmin itself is a struggle and it always take 1 or 2 minutes for any action done.

Honestly sounds like a web hosting issue, the amount of editing you are conducting should have no real significant impact on performance unless you are shuffling through a large volume of data. However if the DB is small, sounds like you just need to find a good web host that isnt so congested or poorly optimized.

Yes, that. phpMyAdmin is a clumsy script. If on Windows, use SQLyog instead, much faster, easier, better organized, many more options. Most of the overhead/slowness with phpMyAdmin is from phpMyAdmin itself, and not the databases. Maybe not even the server. Some software just runs slow, especially online tools.

The speed of the PhpMyAdmin varies from host to host. It depends on how much they have oversold their resources, what's their IO throughput and etc., With a decent SSD based hosting provider, you'll not face these issues (I assume that IO is the issue).

Slow cPanel phpMyAdmin performance may not even be indicative of the server's overall performance. There's a root level option under Tweak Settings to "Enable phpMyAdmin information schema searches" which is enabled by default. If there are a lot of databases on the server, disabling this may speed up phpMyAdmin quite a bit. Your host will have to choose how this is set though because disabling it has other impacts.

I think a decent shared hosting should solve your purpose. It shouldn't be a problem since you have a small db.

sounds like you are either on an overloaded server, or the server performance is poor due to poor hardware and/or software configuration.
higher price doesn't necessarily mean more generous limits.
Don't just sign up based on a provider's feature set/price. Contact them and have a chat, see how long they are in the business, how they handle negative reviews and you will get a picture.█||||[ MechanicWeb.com - Shared Hosting | Reseller Hosting | KVM VPS | Dedicated Server ]
