Plane. No satellite has that much detail that close up.

I'd have to say satellite. You can see 3 sides of most buildings. If you think about it really hard, that's only possible if you're really high up.

They certainly do. You could read a newspaper on the ground with a satellite.

Its been said that US spy satellites can see objects as small as a license plate (not the actual numbers on the plate though). So you never know .

it could be either I guess.. regarding the satellite try going to mapquest.com while on a laptop in your yard and once the map comes up of your street click on aerial photo and you will see yourself standing outside.. now imagine this is FREE what uncle sam has up his sleeves.

I think we'ld all be surprised at the amount of detail some satellites can capture. But the exact detail is a national security issue and you certainly won't find those pictures on the internet

This photo I have no idea about though as my browser can't load it due to size

I would say Satellite, even at University I saw pictures taken with satelites they use that have a 1 meter resolution.

Anything the government has access to will have much better resolutions and can easily see much more detail.

If we can see a close up under the wing of a space shuttle in orbit, I am sure we can see down to earth in great detail from a satellite.
