Yes, our servers there are down as well. A traceroute shows packet loss from 4 hops before their data center, so maybe it is something major? Waiting for an update on the situation.

And now it shows packet loss at Staminus only. I don't know what is happening.

Hello,
There was a minor problem and it was fixed quickly. All servers returned within our uptime guarantee. My apologies for the outage. We have already began taking steps to prevent this in the future.

Sincerely,
Matt

what about lag? are you going to fix that? or just keep to the uptime capping servers at 256kbps (ofc, might be that you just capped mine ??))

What segment you on? The IRC network is slower because 95% of it's bandwidth is set aside so then they can filter DOS attacks better.

It's more for shells and IRCd's anyways, why do you need 100Mbit speeds?

I am unaware of anyone being capped even close to that low of speed, fact is t0r0 has been doing an amazingly astouding job of mitigating these recent attacks and keeping things alive and weel at staminus. If anything right about now you should be thanking him rather then posting here after only 2-3mins of a server timing out. No power has been an issue at all so uptimes are fine, was just some ddos hitting the place recently.

Regards,
Justin S.

I would, but it was more like 2-3 days of constant timeouts

2-3 days? then I would think your bill has not been paid, or you need to be contacting him and finding out if your box is fried or something.

Problem

I agree with you fern, I have had my server for about a month and I am not happy. They will be reported to the proper government departments.

Since I'm not an official representative of Staminus, but as a customer, I can say that I also have been affected by the recent connection issues. However, these events seem to be triggered at times when Toro is unable to reproduce the event.

Instead of complaining about "going to the proper government departments," you could better spend your efforts in helping eliminate each possible reason for the lag.

Just two cents from another Staminus customer....

I know it's been worse than what he's expected. But amongst some people here, I think I can safely say that I've known Toro long enough to know when he's not dragging us by our suspender straps and feeding us a line of bull.

He's doing what is possible to get it done.

Still really bad, outages are a daily thing now. Usually mutliple times per day.
