Okay, I know I'm going to get some backlash from this but I was reading the news today and read that they are going to make a movie and a book about the experiences of Jessica Lynch. Now to be honest, I'm quite sick of hearing about her. It's gone from her being 'rescued' to being exploited or perhaps exploiting herself. I understand she went to fight for this country and all and I really appreciate that, however, I think this is just going too far.
Just my 0.02cents ...

Those movie and book deals were in the works before she got off the first helicopter.
None of this would happen without consent of her and her family. I personally think that it is a good thing that she will be relatively secure financially after what she went through.
You know damn well she won't get any special treatment from the forces.

I think it will be good that she will financially secure, however her story doesn't make for a much of a film, she was captured, cared for and the Iraqi guards had long fled, before she was "saved", hardly a classic, although I am sure hollywood true to form will create their own vomit inducing version of what happened much like some of the less professional news agencies did at the time.

Last week we heard Pentagon was thinking of having gambling bids on middle east predictions............probably this is another brainchild of theirs to rope in new recruits into the defence forces. [Surprised? They even got war games for kids]

She is a hero for putting herself in a position where she could be captured, something most of us have not done. As a reward, she has a long, long recovery ahead of her. As far as the book and movie deals, good for her.
