You might have noticed that some names have died over the years.
Nowadays you never meet someone named "auto", or I noticed you will never meet someone under the age of 35 who is named "peggy", or you don't meet alot of guys named "Richard" anymore...
What are some names that you haven't heard much of in recent years? Do you hold ownership of a name that has died?

I know quite a few guys named Rich, Richie or Richard under 35. And I've never met anyone of any age named "Auto." I have met an Otto or two, though.

Most of those are good, but I know a couple guys named Bill or Billy. And I know a Rey, but no Ray.

I think Richard and Mike are far from dead - but I do remember some statistic (you know the way they publish the top 10 names each year?) that said no-one has been named Sidney in 30+ years  . (Can anyone confirm/deny this? I'm talking about the UK BTW).

I agree with you on all of the names except Richard. I know a few under 35 Richards.

I know a Richard who is 17, but we call him Rich.
I also know a Ray who is 18 and a Bill who is 17.
Mike is far from dead. I know more of them than I can count.

How about Marilyn? That seems dead. I have never met anyone named Marilyn in over 20 years.

My 15 year old is named Richard. Up until just recently, he went by his initials. Now, he wants to be called Richard.

What about Marilyn Manson?
This probably doesn't count, but my mother's first name is Marilyn, but she uses her middle name.
