This was asked about 5 msgs earler, but here's an answer for you.

Try www.fluidhosting.com for windows reseller accounts or shared accounts.

Little if no downtime in 6+ months.
I am using the account NOW!
Fast response to ANY questions.
Actually works all the time with Frontpage.

Sample website: www.chicagojobresource.com (400 plus pages of Frontpage)

I'd second that. I must admit they are not the cheapest hosts around. But if you want one of the best, the go with FluidHosting,

I'd also recommend oneandone.co.uk, apart from some problems I had with script usage (think i've resolved it now, page had like 3 million SQL queries in 24 days down to around 300,000 in that same time) they have been a very good host and great prices.

40GB bandwidth for £19.99 a month

There support has also been very fast, making sure you use the online request forms as I didnt seem to get a reply just mailing their address.

Only problem with oneandone is to use their hosting service you must transfer your domain over to them. And they don't seem to like giving them back.

I'm doing some private work for a travel frim who are trying to move away from oneandone, its been quite difficult.

well depends on ....

If your client base is USA and Asia to New Zealand go with Adehost. If your client base is USA and to Europe then fluid should do it.

both have about the same level of support ( I host at both )

Adehost has paid out on his uptime guarentee (and or not billed for 1 or 2 months on the very expensive packages )

had problems at both host, but I run intensive sites.
Dll support is equal at both host

If you have database intensive sites ( win2k base ) the adehost wins.

since they both use H-sphere I can take advantage of subdomains and dns usage so I can route Europe and Asia properly

it's a slight toss up but both being equal, stick to your target market ( Europe = fluid , Asia = Adehost, USA toss a coin )

Thank you for your recommendation. I am just wondering, since ADEHost is based on NAC, which is only perhaps 300 miles closer to New Zealand than us, do you really see a significant difference?

Similarly, I will be surprised if we are much better than ADEHost for European clients.

Let me know.

Another vote of high praise for FluidHosting.com who hosts this very popular forum (if you want to test speeds).

I was pointed to this thread by a client of mine :

We do not do any business with NAC
We locate our servers in Seattle.
The Westin Building in Seatlle we don't think NAC is there.
there is no communication with NAC and the firm Adehost

thank you

Mike

That explains everything then. In that case, I would completely agree with what sqposter has said.

For some reasons, I always though you have your servers in NAC, Mike. My apology
