So I've been tasked to set up a small LAN with a hub. (Which isn't what I'm asking for help with... Just plug 'em in, lol)
I forget the exact model, but it's a Synoptics Lattis hub, 16 ports, 10/100. (With an AUI port.) I noticed there was a serial port ("Service Port") on the front, and in extreme boredom, hooked up a serial cable and tried to get in with HyperTerminal. (It's a Windows network.)
Anyway, searching on Google has found little more than dozens of places selling them. I'm wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction as to what -- if anything -- I can do in the console? (And how I can actually connect...) I don't need to do anything, but I'll stay awake nights wondering if I don't figure out what can be done.
Anyone have any experience with these things?
