Sitebysize week-long outage

For those of us who have spent the entire past week moving our domains to other hosts: we are not entirely without recourse. If you're on a PaySystems recurring payment account, just call and have them close it immediately.

This doesn't do much for The Week From Hell we all just experienced, but it does prevent further financial loss.

They're Back!

I got this email from SiteBySize

Sir,

we have already restored your account. You can now request us to restore any domain you have. Please specify the most important domains in order so we can work on it as first piority.

When did you get that? I still haven't heard a word... not that it makes any difference; we're out of there completely.

Any explanation?

That was a reply to an email I sent on Friday...
I got it this morning...

I send them my domain list but I am still waiting for the sqlserver and ftp server to run so I can backup my mssql db and run away from them!

I already move all my domains, but I need the DB on SiteBySize..:-(

Good luck with that. The databases they restored for me last week were anywhere from two to 18 months old!

Now thats painful, have a few sites that use php/mysql for providing dynamic content and they update it daily. That would mean around 30-60 updates lost minimum with backups that old.
