Migrated hosts and now can't access site?

    Hey there,

I recently moved my host from Siteground to Bluehost for our website (factioncomic.com). We're using a shared hosting plan, and the migration went fine, except for with my own computer. I can't access the site and am being greeted with a "Your account has been suspended" message, which is being directed towards the old host with whom I cancelled my plan. Everyone else can access the site except for me, so I know it's a localized issue.

I contacted my ISP but they found no issues, and I can access the site on our internet with other devices, and I have cleared my cache and flushed my DNS cache as well, trying multiple browsers with no success.

I am leaning to saying it might be an issue with my hostfiles, but I'm not sure, and therefore I wanted to see if anyone else has had this issue before? I handled all of the migration myself, and it was only after I did so a couple of weeks ago that I began having issues accessing my site.

If anyone can help, it would be greatly appreciated. I'm running on an Alienware 15, and when I contacted Dell they said it would cost 130$ to receive help. If you need any more info, I am happy to provide!

Any time I've had something like that stick on one device, I found that editing my HOSTS file on the PC to point to the new IP for a short while then removing that line fixed it. You may consider that approach.

This is a good workaround. Or you can switch from your ISP nameservers to Google nameservers which should show the website as normal again.

    Use

    8.8.8.8
    8.8.4.4

Or you can check if the site loads via a proxy server e.g https://hide.me/en/proxy if it loads via that then it confirms the issue is only local and you may leave it knowing that eventually, the site will resolve from your PC once your ISP has updated properly.

That does not always work though hence I said change your DNS servers settings like at https://developers.google.com/speed/...dns/docs/using which is guaranteed to work. There is no need to change local host file then too, which not everyone likes to do.

I can see that you've updated the DNS records for your domain on 2017-08-05T09:19:32Z. DNS usually takes 4 to 12 hours for prorogation over internet. After that by clearing cache give a try to access your website.

It is working for me. Also give a try to access your website from another network and another system.

This has nothing to do with the issue, it's a case of old DNS records on the name servers the OP is using. @HostXNow_Chris instructed the OP with the correct information, that will work for you. I deal with this problem daily.

Honestly, you will probably be able to access your site again in a few hours (if not already) once your ISP refreshes DNS cache.
