any problems installing service pack 4?
I was hoping to install service pack4 on a windows 2000 lyris server, during the install i noticed some warnings and thought twice about the install! do any of you know of any side effects of installing sp4? will anything be lost or need to be re-installed? driver, settings etc etc? thx in advance!

I know it does cause some problems, im not exactly sure what (other than it corrupts 3d studio max files).

I have it installed couple of days before in my laptop, system always find some programs that cannot be shut down properly. Thus it always hang on the screen for minutes before I press the off button.

crashed a new build twice until i updated motherboard bios for one of my machines at home

Lucky I did not install SP 4.
Guess I would be better off with SP 3 instead.

No problems here Put Sp4 on 4 different win2k standard servers

We've rolled it to a couple of HP ML570's that had been running W2K SP3 without any problems. These were all machines in one of our test bed labs. The results weren't impressive. Out of 4 of the machines, 3 of them had some major issues, although, it seemed if you let the machine sit idle for 30 minutes, or so, after booting, that they were fine.
We are not going to roll SP4 to our production environments for a while.
