Creating Subdomains on 550/ w TB DNS Control Panel

I am trying to create a few subdomains on my raq 550. I have an account with Tera-byte.com using their DNS control panel.

Let me give you a couple of examples of what I am trying to do using a couple of well know sites.

Example #1
Yahoo.com

If you look on the front page (at the very top), you will see the "Shop" Icon. If you place your cursor over the icon, the URL in the status bar at the bottom of your browser will read "http://www.yahoo.com/r/xm". However, if you click on it the url in the address window of the browser reads "shopping.yahoo.com"

Example #2
ESPN.com

If you type in your browser "ESPN.com" the browser redirects to "http://msn.espn.go.com/".

How can both of these examples be done using the Tera-Byte DNS control panel (which I use for DNS) and a Raq 550.

Hello,

epsn.com - 199.181.135.201

msn.espn.go.com - 199.181.134.115

in your DNS, just create an A record for your domain and point it to a different IP. Crude but works.

Wouldn't there be a need to add a CNAME record?

u can make a CNAME, but that creates one additional lookup.

i've always preferred A records.
