    Growned?

Not sure what it means, but it certainly doesn't sound good.

If you were grounded for the whole summer I am sorry man
That happened to me once when I was in first grade.

Your parents still spank you at 14? I remember my mom tried to do that once, and I laughed at her. It didn't hurt anymore.

I hope that I'll never "spank" a child of mine. Not that I don't really agree with it, but there are much more creative ways to punish a child. Like having to clean the driveway.

I just wouldn't want my mother touching my rear-end at that age really.

If I were 14 and got grounded for the summer I'd probably just kill myself. Nothing is so serious that a parent should take away from the most memorable time of a childs life!

Child's life eh???? Believe me, my parents treat me like a 6 year old- cuz that's the way i act My parents want me to be more "mature" for my age, like hang out with girls, not toys (i don't play with them though) I guess timechange is 34 and says he doesn't act mature, and i don't too, that's why i get treated differently.

Agreed. Although, while school may be rather boring, and useless at times, it can actually be fun. For example, to have fun while doing work, I try to make the most perverted that I can, without it being blatently obvious, yet still being the right answers.

(Sorry it doesn't work in math. Unless you want the wrong answer most of the time.)

And then just screwing around with my friend's at school can be fun too.

I'll be a senior this year. HS is nothing. All the elementary teachers, and middle school teachers act like it's such a big deal. It's not.

Yeah, HS isn't a big deal. I graduated this last month.

Most teachers, and students that knew me, would agree that I hardly did any actual school work. However, I proved my knowledge in other ways.

Ahh man! I had an awesome science teacher in HS. If something wasn't burning in class, he wasn't teaching.

We blew stuff up, and studied nuclear reactions.

she gaved us a sh*t load of work, and shoved it in our faces. Hope in highschool we have a better teacher, so i can blow some stuff up........ taking about blowing stuff my teacher was blowing stuff out of her butt that's why the whole room smelled

What do you go to school for? It is a place for learning, and I am sure the teachers set work to your capabilities. Take more time with your studies and you might just graduate one day. Have respect for the teachers and they might have more respect for you.

I thought freshman year was going to be FAR different than it was. HS for me was pretty different as I went to a small catholic private school before but I don't remeber any big problems.

U think that's terrible JackMitchell? 2 kids one day wanted to commit suicide by bringing a "real gun" with loaded bullets to school to kill this kid for saying sumthin back to him. Luckly, this kid told and they found the gun in their backpack and got expelled. Another kid brought marijuana. Each day i see kid's fighting in school, just terrible........teribble.....

    "that's life".

And BTW, when you say "Orthodox" you mean Jewish in the traditional sense?

Funny because once a lady from a Baptist church tried to convince my wife that me being Christian Orthodox meant I was not Christian actually LOL I guess she had no clue. Here in the US we're called Greek Orthodox but back home it's Christian Orthodox.

OK off to bed as it's so freaking late but I had too much coffee after 11pm - big mistake.

I'm Jewish. Un-orthodox. Just Jewish, do some holidays, had a bar mitzvah, and hang out with jewish people. Not keeping Kosher and shabbat and all that stuff. Anyway I went to a a small Jewish Private school, but it's really cool. Lots of Student decisions, and fun teachers. It had some Jewish Studies, but not that big a deal. Like, the school doesnt care what you wear (no dress code), or what you eat. They also don't care if you openly admit not caring about god or anything. I even remember a whole segment of the year we had debating if god even exists, and whether or not he/she/it wrote the bible, and if all the rules that are "loosely based on" the bible (ie: Not actually in it, but derived from it) are worth following. Normally I played devil's advocate, always trying to counter whatever people said, whether I believed it or not. Made for some interesting debates.

Very nice Xshare. See, my question above stemmed from the fact that collectively, the Eastern (Christian Orthodox) Church uses the same term (Orthodox) to denote the original Christian faith. It means "the right (proper) worship" in Greek.

You were lucky! We lived for three months in a rolled-up newspaper in a septic tank! We used to have to get up every morning, at six o'clock and clean the newspaper, go to work down the mill, fourteen hours a day, week in, week out, for sixpence a week, and when we got home, our dad would thrash us to sleep with his belt!
