I think registry rocket costs 99$/year. So you would have to pay for that I believe.

I just signed up for a RR account a couple of days ago and you don't need any funds in your account. And I know this to be true, I went through as a regular user and registered a domain with it to test it. Over-all it's a pretty decent solution for domain sails in my opion. Although I'm very interested in moving into the PDQ stuff.

Cannibal, as far as I know, you are my reseller. Have you read our welcome e-mail? It does contain many useful information, including info setting up a RR link.
Good luck!

Hmm mwalters, I am not sure about that, how could you have gone through with the registration with no funds? You were perhaps using the PDQ system instead. When we setup RR a month or so back, it would not let us register domains and we called eNom to confirm that a $100 initial deposit was required.

cannibal,
No, you do not need to do that! Simple? Why, because they will use their CC info, not yours. You may earn commission from your clients¡¯ registrations without any refilling.

Nope, I'm sure about it. There were $0 funds in my account. I went through the process as a normal user, and supplied my credit card info when asked, and registered the domain. Now I have the commission earned in my account.
PDQ is what requires initial deposit.
Cannibal, just make sure that if you set it with "no profit" that you raise the price high enough to cover the CC and enom costs per domain sail. Like on an 8.95 domain I think it needs to be at least 10.21 or something. They should give you a formula to use when you sign up telling you what your cost is.

I don't think anything has changed since I got RR and PDQ up, but it may have. This is my experience...
RR is simply your own gateway to enom. No funds are needed to activate, customers go to your RR link, input their credit card, and you get the difference of the price you sell for minus the fees that enom takes (domain and processing fees).
PDQ is similar, except that it is not free to activate. You need $99 in the account to set it up, but beyond that, nothing else is needed. All processing is similar to RR after PDQ account set up.
I've had $0.01 in my PDQ account since day one and only recently put more in to renew the PDQ. Now, there is $0.01 in the account again.
