ok. put - this name - from one host to another host!

hi:
i have a site with 'featureprice' web hosting. they were recently bought out by atlantic. now things have gone berzerk. they have discontinued my service with little warning and broken our contract of service through november.

i want to switch service to another account but i don't know how to transfer the domain to it if it is already registered to featureprice.

how can i get another host with the domain name leperstv.com if it is in use(disuse) by another hosting service?

thank you for your patience

J.M.

All you need to do is change the nameservers your domain name is pointing to in your registrar's control panel and it will resolve to your new hosting account.

I think that FeaturePrice are holding alot of these domains and customers don't have access to dns. Look at this situation:

This domain is owned by a FeaturePrice.Com Customer.
How sad.

They've actually taken the domains hostage?! Ouch...

I'm sure there can be some kind of legal action taken against that. There's gotta be?

I just dealt with 2 of these yesterday. You'll need to contact dotregistrar.com and tell them the circumstances. From what I heard, they're understanding of the situation - they'll do what they can to help. You should have a receipt from when you purchased the account - you'll NEED that to prove YOU paid for it.

Hope that helps.

Joe

Anything news on this?

Any news on the Atlantic / Featureprice situation?

Ive already transferred my hosting service elsewhere but I’m still missing quite a bit of data (including my databases) on the old Featureprice servers. This stunt caught me off guard. My local backups were more than a month old.

Thats pretty low, holding your client's domains hostage. Its hosts/situations like this that give the hosting industry a bad rap.
