installing Oscommerce, PHPNuke, Xoops etc..

How do I go about installing these stuff, and is it at the server level or at the user level?

Hi...

The easiest is if your host has got auto-installer or fantastico or if cpanel you can also look in add-on scripts for what is available and do the 'one click install'.

Otherwise, the best course is to go to the sites in question eg, if you want to install oscommerce, go to oscommerce.com and check out their documentation. Most programs like that contain info on how to go about it.

Just got to have a look around

Good Luck!

Most of them you can install at the user level. If your host doesn't provide them for you, and you want to install, I have extensive experience with all that you mentioned. I'd be willing to help you out. (no charge, of course)

LightningWeb,

Actually I'm a reseler, I rent a dedicated machine and sell "reseller" packages. I just wanted to offer that option to my clients, I'm not sure how this worksm is it installed once on teh server and then all clients have it automatically or do we have to install it for each user (on demand I guess...)?

Thanx for your input

What Control Panel do you run, .com? If you run CPanel there are applications like Fantastico (www.cpanelthemes.com) and Auto-Installer (www.cpskins.com) that enable you to offer those programs and more to your clients on a server-wide, one click install basis.

Sorry to bring up an old thread from the grave but are there any scripts like that for Ensim, or Ensim compatible?
(ssh or web based)

I do believe there was one for Ensim, but I can't recall the name. It was rather pricey from what I do remember.
